Tip: Removing Gum and Other Gunk from Fabric

Over the weekend we were up at my parents house visiting family and J’s fun Aunt Nikki pulled out some blue gak for the kids to play with.  What a sticky mess it turned out to be!  Ice cubes to the rescue.  We rubbed one on both Nikki and J’s pants and watched the goo harden before our eyes.  It scraped right off with my fingernail, leaving just a trace on Nikki’s khaki pants and a bit of a greasy residue on J’s jammies.  The difference was probably the type of material. The good news is that the gak didn’t ruin either piece of clothing.  Since the gak was the same color as J’s bottoms, it’s hardly noticeable and I will still put them on her!  So next time you have a sticky incident with gum or other gooey gunk, just grab an ice cube!
