I used to store my sugar in a glass container with a lid, but the lid broke the other day. Slipped right out of my hands and glass went flying in all directions! Luckily Jayna was sitting on the counter and I was able to clean it up without her helping hands. Well, I had this pitcher that I hardly ever use and thought it would be a great alternative until I got a new glass container. Turns out I like the pitcher better! Since I keep my sugar in the pantry, it gets moved back and forth from the pantry to the counter when I’m baking. That handle makes it much easier to maneuver! And, I don’t have to worry about it getting broken.

You are an absolute genius. I’ll have to see what other items would be better siuted for a pitcher… oats come to mind.
its perfect! you are a genius!
I LOVE this! I cannot wait to go pick up a pitcher, I have ceramic canisters on our counter, but I still have to keep the sugar in the bag because it’s gets all clumpy, the pitcher would fix the clumps!
Now why haven’t I ever thought of this!?! Great idea!

Great idea – It can be a struggle to bring my sugar and flour containers out of the pantry, a handle would help.

Very clever!!! So smart.
What a great idea!! I have canisters that don’t have very tight lids and I’ve spilled sugar all over the floor more than once. This is one of those “Why didn’t I think of that” ideas! Thanks for sharing!
I’m totally going to do this!
This is brilliant! Why didn’t I think of this?
Fantastic!! I have a heavy glass jar I bought years ago for sugar b/c it looked nice. It’s cumbersome and the lid is smaller than 1 c. This idea is genius and I can’t wait to use it.
What a genius idea! I will definitely be doing this!! Thank you!!!
