One fish, two fish!

Since Hermey the Hermit Crab died last year, I’ve been wanting to get another pet – one that Jayna could interact with more.  It needed to be something low-maintenance and preferably cute.  While Hermey was super easy to take care of, he was creepy and I didn’t like to get him out.  We had thought about fish, but it wasn’t until Jayna and I stopped to look at them in Walmart that I knew we had to get some.  She loved them too much not to!  So I found an inexpensive tank and we took a trip to the pet store that evening, which by the way, may be something we start doing on a regular basis!  She had a lot of fun walking around looking at all the different animals.
The friendly owner of Pet Land sent us home with that “sock” of rocks.  We are supposed to keep it in the tank for five weeks to grow bacteria that will eat the fish’s waste (or something like that!).  After we got it home, and in the tank we realized there was a white algae eater that must have been attached to it.  Little sneak.  I will be taking that back with the sock of rocks!
Jayna likes to say hi and bye to the fish as well as feed them!  Wait, she’s not old enough to be doing these things!  What happened to my baby??
We’re working on the fishy face and still trying to come up with some super cool names.  Any suggestions?

I want to get some thing to take care of but easy. I am a dog lover but it’s to much money and it’s a lot of work. My dad said we would have fish by Christmas but it’s already to late. :)
