When storing items with small parts, avoid misplacement: bag loose items and tape them to the item they belong to.
Last week I tackled a few cupboards in my kitchen and got them all organized. I decided to take out one of the shelves and thought it would be a good idea to store the screws along with it. That way they will be nice and handy if I decide to use the shelf again!
