Food Tip: How to Easily Peel an Onion

Peeling an onion was always a frustrating task until I learned this little trick! Follow these few steps to quickly and easily peel an onion!

Grab a sharp knife, cutting board, and of course the onion!

Slice off both ends of the onion.

Cut it in half crosswise.

And easily pull the skin right off of each half!

Unless I need onion rings, I won’t be tediously pulling  off little pieces of skin ever again!

If you know a trick for peeling the entire onion without cutting it, would you be so kind as to share it in the comments below?!

Great tip! Just last night I was tediously peeling an onion thinking, there has GOT to be a better way!

Just thought that I’d share this little tidbit – chewing gum while peeling and cutting an onion will prevent tears!

I’m kind of confused by this tip… Is there even another way to peel an onion? I have never seen it done any way other than this!
