Karcher Pressure Washer and WV50 Power Squeegee

A few weeks ago I introduced you to Kärcher and it’s spiffy looking Clean Team who are on a mission to spread Kärcher cleanliness around the country. Since then I’ve had the awesome opportunity of reviewing not just one, but TWO Kärcher products. And today, I’m going to tell you all about them! First up: the 1800 PSI Electric Pressure Washer.

I love the looks of this baby. And I love what it can do!

If you’ve never used a power washer before, well then, you are missing out! It’s the most fun you will ever have while cleaning. Instant gratification, my friends.

I was most excited to try it out on the patio. If any of you have stamped concrete, you know how difficult it is to keep clean. A spray of the garden hose just doesn’t cut it.

But 1.5 GPM (gallons per minute) at 1800 PSI gets the job done!

The patio looks and feels so much better.

We also tried the power washer out on our cars. First we gave the cars a quick spray and then turned on the detergent option (very convenient!) and sprayed again. After scrubbing the cars down, made sure the detergent was off and we gave them a final spray. Notice we are using a different nozzle. This is the spray wand while the one above is the dirtblaster! Again, take note of the fun factor:

And my car is back to it’s original color! Pretty sure the car wash won’t be taking quarters from us anytime soon!

The other product I tested out was the one and only WV50 Power Squeegee, winner of the 2013 DIY New Product World Awards. This appliance is so innovative! It’s a squeegee that vacuums!! It’s one of those things that everyone says about it, “Why didn’t I think of that?” It really is a great idea.

I took it to the windows and although the instructions say to just spray your surface with cleaner and squeegee it off, I found my windows needed a bit of scrubbing. So hence the red window scrubber.

Look how spotless and streak free they turned out!

Windows aren’t the only thing you can use the WV50 Power Squeegee on though. It will clean any flat, smooth surface:

  • bathroom mirrors
  • showers
  • tile
  • countertops
  • car bodywork

I noticed in your photo of you pressure washing your patio you have on sandals!! You should always wear TENNIS SHOES or something to cover your entire foot. I know from experience, I was using our pressure washer on our concrete in sandals as well and someone came up behind me and yelled my name as I turned around the water spray went over my big toe ( which has SEVERAL main blood arteries!) and almost SEVERED my toe! Pressure washers are dangerous and I didn’t realize, but now am ALOT more careful.
